About pulse
pulse is a personal, non-commercial engine that watches business, startup and app discussions across Reddit and surfaces the ideas that keep coming back.
Why recurrence
A single upvoted post is weak signal. When the same pain point surfaces again and again across different communities and months, that is the strongest validation you can get without building anything. pulse is built to detect exactly that.
How it works
- 1Poll a curated, growing set of subreddits over RSS every hour, de-duped globally so no post is processed twice.
- 2Run a free heuristic pre-filter, then an Opus-4.8 classifier, to keep only genuine business / app / startup ideas.
- 3Fingerprint each idea with embeddings (pgvector) and count how often it resurfaces across subreddits and over time.
- 4Deeply analyze survivors with a web-grounded agent, re-checked by two independent evaluators; only ideas that clear both are published.
Responsible use
pulse links back to Reddit and never rehosts full post bodies. It reconciles deletions, never profiles users, and uses AI for inference only — never for training. It is personal and non-commercial.
